The Specsavers team in Paisley have raised more than £1,300 for several charities and good causes in the past year.
The opticians held a number of fundraising drives throughout 2014, with proceeds donated to Blind Veterans UK and Guide Dogs Scotland.
Fantastic fundraising events
Staff at the store held a sponsored blind walk for Blind Veterans UK in July which involved staff being split into pairs to negotiate a course around Rouken Glen Park.
With one of each pair blindfolded, it was the responsibility of their partner to help them negotiate the route – giving staff an idea of the difficulties faced by those who are blind or partially-sighted.
The store also raised funds for Guide Dogs Scotland throughout the year by holding bake sales, staff dress down days and organising in-store visits from some of the charity’s guide dog puppies-in-training.
Supporting the community
Gail Thompson, director said: ‘As part of the community in Paisley, it’s massively important to us to give back to the local area and worthy causes.
‘Staff and customers have really enjoyed our fundraising events and it’s very rewarding being able to support such great charities.
‘I’d like to thank all our customers for helping us to raise such a fantastic figure over the past year and all the staff are looking forward to continuing to support charities and local causes throughout 2015.’
