The team in Paignton is raising awareness for the importance of regular eye examinations from the age of three and the consequences of neglecting children’s eye health.
David Furby, store director, said: ‘Half term is upon us and we are urging all parents to make use of this time and book their children in for a sight test so that they return to school exam season ready.’
Eye problems can have a significant impact on a child's development and education so it’s important that they are identified as early as possible. Eye problems are often much easier to treat if detected while a child's vision is still developing (usually up to about seven or eight years of age). An early diagnosis will help to ensure that you and your child have access to any special support services you may need.
