Specsavers in Oswestry has raised £700 for Hope House Children’s Hospice by holding bake sales in the run-up to Christmas.
Bake sale success
The team held the bake sales during November and December, with all proceeds going to the hospice. Customers also donated gifts, toys, selection boxes and stocking fillers in time for Christmas Day.
Darryl Pyper, store director, said: ‘We’re really pleased to have supported Hope House and raised so much money for them. We also collected two sacks full of toys and gifts which the team was able to give to the children in time for Christmas.
‘To help spread Christmas cheer, we also went to the hospice at the start of December to put up the Christmas trees with the children, which was a real privilege.’
Hope House Children’s Hospice provides support and care to life-limited children, young people and young adults from Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.
