Specsavers in Orpington has been praised for providing much needed respite for one of its customers.
'I did a presentation at work on Tuesday to 50 people. I had to use my reading glasses so that I could refer to the notes on my index cards. But that meant I couldn’t see the faces of the audience clearly and I had no idea how my talk was being received. I had no connection with the audience at all.
‘I'm not used to giving talks and this was a very nerve-wracking experience. I wouldn’t want to go through that again.
‘Luckily you are open until 18.15 on Tuesdays so I was able to pop in on the way home and order some bifocals! Tom, the optical assistant, was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. He made choosing my lenses easy and it was a nice end to the day after the bad experience earlier.'
Glad to be of service
