Okehampton Primary School children are now able to be seen easily at night thanks to Specsavers, who gave them 200 high-visibility vests.
The store has been raising awareness of road safety charity, Brake (a charity partner of Specsavers) as evenings have got darker.
A word from the store director
Karen Reader, store director at Specsavers Okehampton: ‘We want to ensure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next few months as nights have become increasingly darker. It's important that parents have peace of mind when their children are out and staying visible at night can help this.
‘By raising awareness of Brake and by offering the children these vests, we hope that they take extra care when out and about.’
