Specsavers Nottingham marked a milestone on Saturday 10 May by raising funds for the RNIB (Royal National Institute for the Blind).
The store chose to support the sight loss charity with a host of activities to celebrate its extensive re-fit. Staff held a bake sale in return for donations, alongside a raffle with some great prizes up for grabs and a town crier also kept Nottingham shoppers informed of the events.
‘The weekend coincided with the unveiling of the store's great new look, so what better way to celebrate than to raise funds for a cause that is close to our hearts,’ said Simon Dunn, store director.
The RNIB works to make daily life better for people affected by sight loss. It aims to raise awareness of sight problems, ways of preventing sight loss, and campaigns for better services and a more inclusive society.
