Eyecare experts in North Finchley raised a three figure sum for charity in honour of Diabetes Week.
The team from Specsavers on High Road donated £1 to Diabetes UK for every eye test conducted in store over the course of Diabetes Week (11th- 17th June).
A word from the store director
Neha Shah, Specsavers store director in North Finchley, said: ‘There are two main types of diabetes: type 1 and type 2, and within 20 years of diagnosis, nearly all people with type 1 and almost two thirds of people with type 2 diabetes have some degree of eye damage as a result of their diabetes.
‘Given this link, we took it upon ourselves to raise funds from our services in store to support this important cause.’
