Specsavers in Northfield is showing its support for a national deafblind charity this month by collecting donations in store.
In store Tombola
The team will be inviting customers to take part in a tombola in store throughout May, in return for a suggested 50p donation to Sense.
‘We’re really proud to be supporting Sense this month and the money we raise will support the ongoing development of their new centre in Selly Oak,’ said Declan Casserly, store director. ‘We’ll be collecting donations in store and running a tombola for customers to take part in, all of which will help to fund equipment for the new centre.’
Sense is a leading deafblind charity working to support people with sensory impairments and those with complex needs. Touchbase Pears – the charity’s new specialist centre being built in Selly Oak – is due to open in 2017 to provide fully-accessible services for people in the community suffering with disabilities including hearing loss and blindness.
