More than £480 has been raised for Aberlour Scotland’s Children’s Charity after two brave staff members from Specsavers North Bridge abseiled from the Forth Rail Bridge.
Daredevil charity challenge
Store manager Carrie Collins and assistant manager Kelsey Hamilton took on the daredevil charity challenge earlier this month to raise vital funds for the charity which provides a range of services, support and advice for vulnerable children, young people and families in Scotland.
Pushing the boundaries
Store director Jennifer Ballantyne was impressed by their daring attitude: ‘We are proud of both Carrie and Kelsey and what they have accomplished for the charity. A fundraising event of this kind shows their dedication and determination to help raise awareness of Aberlour Scotland’s Children’s Charity.’
Kelsey said: ‘This is the first time we’ve ever done anything like this - we wanted to do something that really pushed the boundaries of what we felt capable of – and it did just that.
‘We are inspired by the work the charity does in Scotland and wanted to help raise funds that we know will also be used locally. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us.’
