Specsavers North Bridge is helping to keep local children safer by donating high visibility vests to Girlguiding Edinburgh.
The 100 vests will be used during Brownie and Guides regular trips to ensure drivers can spot the children easily.
Staying safe on the streets
The donation is part of the store’s ongoing commitment to help local children stay safer on the streets by being clearly visible to motorists.
Store director at Specsavers in North Bridge, Jennifer Ballantyne, says: ‘We’re very pleased to have been able to supply the Girlguiding Edinburgh with vests.
‘We are continually looking for ways to give back to the local community and were only too happy to help with the donation.
Huge thank you
Susan Brown, County Commissioner for Girlguiding Edinburgh and leader of the 4th Edinburgh Brownies, says: ‘We’d like to thank Specsavers in North Bridge for kindly donating the high visibility vests.
‘They are fantastic and very handy for trips as they make it easy to spot every child in our group. We’ll get loads of use out of them throughout the year.’
