A customer at Specsavers in Northampton was overjoyed to discover that she was the lucky winner of the store’s birthday competition to win a pair of sunglasses.
Jane Buswell came into the store on Abington Street to make a routine appointment, when her son saw the competition advertised as part of the store’s party day to celebrate its 24th anniversary, and encouraged her to enter.
Later that day, after gathering in more than 150 entries to the competition, the team were delighted to inform her that she had been chosen as the winner of the competition.
‘I am thrilled to have won the competition, and love my new sunglasses!’ said a delighted Ms Buswell.
‘It was fantastic to be able to deliver the good news to Ms Buswell,’ said assistant store manager, Kerrie Calcutt. ‘It just shows you have to be in it to win it – without her son’s insistence, she might not have even entered!’
In total there were a whopping 154 entries after staff member Kieran Kearney went out into the High Street to promote the store’s party day and competition.
Store director Marinos Constantinides added: ‘We are always delighted to give something back to the local community and our loyal customers. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and got into the spirit of our party day and all who entered the competition.’
