The team at Specsavers opticians in Northallerton are rocking their Christmas jumpers this December in aid of local charity.
Staff are dressing up in their most festive Christmas jumpers to raise vital funds for the Northallerton store's charity partner of the year, Northallerton Voluntary Service Association.
The store has been running a Santa’s grotto throughout December and customers were invited to donate to the charity for the chance to take a lucky dip in the bran tub in-store. Staff members have also be dressing in red for a day and donating £2 each.
Northallerton Specsavers has been fundraising for its local Voluntary Service Association since January. The organisation provides advice, training and support to volunteers and community groups in the local area.
So far, the team has raised £923.16 and have set themselves a target of £1,000 before the end of the year.
Store director Ruth Bargate explained: ‘We’re so close to our fundraising target and we’re calling on our loyal customers to support the Santa’s grotto and help us get there.
‘The festive season is a time to dig a little deeper and donate to worthy causes like this, especially when there’s a Christmas present in the mix for everyone who takes part!’
