Staff at Specsavers’ Norris Green store have been showing their support the Breast Cancer Care charity by dressing in pink and encouraging donations.

Creating awareness about Breast Cancer

During Breast Cancer Awareness month, the charity encourages people to wear pink and do what they can to raise more money to help raise the vital fund needed for the charity. As well as raising cash for a very good cause, the store was also keen to create further awareness about breast cancer and the great work the being done in helping those affected by it.

Pretty in pink and charity pins

All staff at the store wore their pink t shirts, showing their support for the charity. They also sold pretty pink pins for the charity which sold very quickly. Those that bought a pin could choose from pink bows, hearts and butterflies.

Linda McCartney, optical assistant at the store says: ‘The badges flew out – I think they were gone within two weeks. It seems that the charity is close to the hearts of quite a few of our customers.’

How the donations will help

Breast Cancer Care is the only UK-wide support charity helping the thousands of women waking up to the reality of breast cancer every day. Its specialist nurses, local services and emotional support network mean there’s always someone to turn to for information and support.
