Staff from Specsavers in Newtownards town centre organised a recent pub quiz in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
The store staff came together in Romas bar in the town centre, and managed to raise £103.21 in aid of the well-known charity.
Leigh Nelson, store director, Newtownards, said: ‘We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated and provided support for the recent pub quiz. We know that the Alzheimer’s Society will put this money to excellent use.
‘It is very sad for family and friends to watch a loved one deteriorate with this type of disease. Therefore, it is important for us to support those within our local community in whatever way we can.
We thought organising the quiz night it would be a fun and light-hearted way to raise money for a great cause.’
