We were delighted to receive a letter from an anonymous customer who attended the Newtownabbey store in February of this year.

To the staff at the Abbeycentre Specsavers store:

‘Back in February of this year, on a Wednesday evening, I entered the Abbeycentre store in an immense amount of pain and unable to open my right eye. Upon arrival, the store staff provided me with the highest form of professionalism in helping me sort out my eye issue and giving me the correct advice as to whether I needed to go to the hospital or not.

'The store staff showed me so much care in reassuring both my mum and I, and helped in keeping me calm and assisting me in any way they could. I ended up having to go to hospital but because of the professionalism and care of the Abbeycentre store staff I didn't have to wait that long, not only because they wrote a report for the nurses at the hospital but they also advised that I attend the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, as they would have the correct doctor who could deal with my eye problem.

'I work in a customer -facing environment and I have yet to come across such outstanding service as this, and these staff members are the definition of perfect customer service! Thanks to your staff a traumatic and scary ordeal was made that bit easier and you should be applauded.’
