A new opticians has opened its doors in Newton Mearns, providing ten new job opportunities and representing a £250,000 investment in the area.
Specsavers Newton Mearns opened in The Avenue Shopping Centre on Monday 4 September, providing locals with access to first class eyecare and hearing services.
Latest technology and equipment
The state-of-the-art store has two test rooms featuring the latest technology and equipment. As well as offering eyecare, advanced audiology services are also available with a dedicated hearing centre within the store.
The store is also home to an Independent Prescribers for the Newton Mearns area. Store director, Emma Robb, is qualified to prescribe medicines for minor eye conditions which will save local residents a trip to their GP.
