The team at Specsavers Newton Mearns showed their support to their local foodbank over the festive period, by collecting food for those in need over Christmas.
Their generous donation included a supply of essential tins, sauces, cereals, pasta, tea bags and other non-perishable items.
A word from the store director
Emma Robb, Store Director at Specsavers Newton Mearns, said, ‘I am delighted that as a team we were able to gather between us some basic necessities to donate to our local foodbank to help those in need over the Christmas period.
‘Christmas can be a very difficult time for people and organisations like foodbanks provide much-needed help to individuals and families.
‘Supporting the local community is very important to us and we’re delighted that we could help a great cause in this way.’
