The team at Specsavers on Spytty Road has raised £100 for a Welsh charity supporting children affected by cancer.
Supporting Welsh children
In exchange for a donation to Kids Cancer Charity, customers could choose from a variety of eyecare products, as well as heavy-duty shopping bags and trolley coins.
Kids Cancer Charity, which has offices in Swansea and Cardiff, supports families, children and teenagers across the UK who have been affected by cancer.
It organises family outings and holidays, both in the UK and internationally, works with therapists to coordinate ‘play therapy’ schemes, and also offers bereavement services.
Generosity of customers
‘Charity work is important to us as a store,’ says community champion, Maggie Aizlewood.
‘Kids Cancer Charity is less well-known in our area but the work it does is incredible. For decades, its volunteers have gone above and beyond to support families and create special memories they can treasure. I’m delighted we’ve been able to contribute.’
