The team at Newcastle-under-Lyme are thrilled that staff member Eleanor Knobbs has passed her qualifications to become the store’s new optometrist.
Eleanor has been with the store since June 2011, working part time when she was just 16 years old.
Hugely passionate about her work, she continued to work at Specsavers alongside studying Optometry at Anglia Ruskin in Cambridge before joining the team on a full time basis after graduating in July 2016.
Top of the class
Thanks to her hard work and dedication, Eleanor completed her pre-registration year in January 2018 and will join the other seven resident optometrists in store.
She will be able to assist customers with eye examinations and contact lenses, as well as providing such enhanced optical services such as glaucoma, cataract and minor eye condition services.
Joining the Newcastle-Under-Lyme family
Eleanor said ‘I’ve enjoyed my journey with Specsavers every step of the way, from starting as an optical assistant at age 16 all the way to becoming a fully qualified Optometrist this year.’
‘I couldn’t have done it without the support of the team at Newcastle-under-Lyme and I am grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been given.’
