A familiar face at Specsavers in Newcastle-under-Lyme is celebrating after becoming a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser (RHAD).
Claire Dixon, who began working at the store 18 years ago, qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2004 and opted to undertake a two-year course in 2013 to become a RHAD, passing this year with a Distinction from Aston University.
A valuable member of the team
‘We’re delighted to see Claire do so well after showing such commitment over the last two years,’ said Debra Fitzsimmons, store director. ‘Besides her studies, Claire’s also been balancing family life with her full-time role in the store, so we’re all extremely proud of her achievement.
At Specsavers, we pride ourselves on training and supporting our team to develop in any direction they wish and Claire is testament to this.’
Support from customers
Claire said: ‘I’ve been overwhelmed by the support of the team and our customers. Juggling work, studies and family life has been challenging at times, but having that support has been wonderful.
I’ve worked at Specsavers for more than 18 years now and have got to know some customers very well in that time, many of whom have generously given me cards and gifts to congratulate me on my new qualification.’
