Newbury saw a wave of pink from Specsavers when staff raised around £120 for Breast Cancer Campaign.
Going pink for charity
On Tuesday 14 and Saturday 18 October, staff at the store dressed in pink and invited people to try their hand at winning a jar of sweets in a ‘guess the number of sweets’ competition, with all contributions going towards the breast cancer research charity.
Sharing the day with others
Store director Gary Alexander says: ‘We’re very proud to have raised this money for Breast Cancer.
‘Breast Cancer Campaign helps thousands of women across the UK and we felt obliged to play our part by joining others in the “wear it pink” day. We wanted to share this day with our local community and invited them instore so that Newbury could help make a difference.’
