Newbury team member Aimee Butcher has been busy up-skilling to better support customers with glaucoma.
So often showing no symptoms in its early stages, glaucoma is frequently left undiagnosed and remains one of the main sight loss-causing conditions in the UK.
In conjunction with the International Glaucoma Association, Specsavers has developed new training for retail teams to better assist sufferers with treatment, including effectively administering eye drops.
'Help to better support customers'
Aimee said: ‘I was glad to undertake additional glaucoma training, which will help me to better support any customers with the condition in the future.’
The training is being rolled out across Specsavers stores nationwide and complements the skills held by Specsavers’ optometrists.
