The team at Muswell Hill Specsavers are asking their customers to take care of their eye health this summer by wearing sunglasses.
Harmful rays from the sun can do serious damage your eyes, by increasing the risk of diseases such as macular degeneration and cataracts.
A word from the store director
Store director at Muswell Hill, Sapna Bariya, said: ‘According to the Royal National Institute for Blind People (RNIB), nearly half of all cases of sight loss are preventable.
‘That is a shocking statistic, so if wearing sunglasses can do anything to reduce your risk of sight loss it has to be worth a go.’
