Specsavers Musselburgh has donated the iconic Gruffalo books to the local library in Musselburgh as well as gifting the children Gruffalo activity books.
Support for local library
To mark the launch of the new children’s Gruffalo specs in store, Specsavers Musselburgh donated Gruffalo reading and activity books to the library during one of its children’s Bookbug story sessions.
Store director at Specsavers in Musselburgh, Diana Kelly, visited the library to donate the books and activity packs.
Diana said: ‘Musselburgh Library is a fantastic resource for the local community, especially for the children. We wanted to show our support for the local library and were very pleased to have the opportunity to donate the books and bolster the library’s collection of children’s reading and interactive material.’
Special story time
Caroline Messer, librarian at Musselburgh Library said: ‘We were delighted to welcome the children and Specsavers to the library for a special storytime. It was great to see so many children engaging in the interactive reading session and it brought lots of new books to the library.
‘Specsavers’ very kind donation has enabled us to add to our current collection, providing the children with an even wider range of reading material.’
