Specsavers Musselburgh has raised over £1,210 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The store held a Disney Princess and Marvel Superhero dress-up day bake sale and Easter raffle to help raise funds for Senior Optometrist, Amy Brown who took on the gruelling Edinburgh Kilomathon to raise vital funds for the charity who offers a range of services to support people suffering from the disease.
Right on time
Amy completed the 13.1k Edinburgh run in one hour 13 minutes with fiancé Ronan Brolly. The run passed the historic Royal Yacht Britannia, the picturesque Victoria Park before the fantastic finish in front of the West Stand at BT Murrayfield Stadium.
Amy said: ‘Running the Kilamathon was a truly amazing experience. Knowing I was helping Pancreatic Cancer UK, and the tremendous support of everyone in the crowd, really helped me get across the finish line.
‘I would like to say a big thank you to the team at Specsavers and our kind customers – the donations are very much appreciated.’
