Staff at Specsavers Musselburgh are getting on their bike to help raise funds to support Xtreme Walkies Charity Challenge.

Karly Watt, an Optical Advisor at the store is set to embark on the 850 mile bike ride across lcelands notorious Ring Road this month, to raise vital funds for her chosen charity, Beyond Boundaries.

In-store challenge

To show their support, staff will be hosting a bake sale and taking on their own cycling challenge in-store on static bikes provided by Beyond Boundaries on 11-12th August.

The store will link with up Karly and the team in Iceland via WIFI so they can cycle alongside them, completing the same miles or more.

Beyond Boundaries, will be in-store to hand-out information on the different high quality outdoor activities they provide for people aged 16 and over with disabilities and mental health issues.

Specsavers Musselburgh has sponsored the group £500 and money raised will go to Karly’s chosen charity, as well as numerous other charities including CHAS, SSPCA and Teenage Cancer Trust Scotland.

Diana said: ‘We are really excited to support Karly and the team as they take on this gruelling challenge.

“The bike ride is bound to be tough, so we hope we can help boost morale as we cycle alongside the group. We will be outside the store on 11-12th August asking customers to dig deep to help us raise money for the challenge.’
