Specsavers in Monmouth has raised money for Comic Relief by selling Red Nose Day-themed glasses and hosting a cake sale.
Staff at the Monnow Street opticians baked cakes and encouraged members of the community to donate to the charity, raising £75.
In the weeks leading up to Red Nose Day, the team also sold Specsavers comedy waving hand glasses for £2 a pair.
Comic Relief aims to tackle poverty and social injustice in the UK and further afield. Specsavers has been a partner of the charity since 2015.
‘Proud to support’
Emily Anne-Frost, store director at Specsavers in Monmouth, said: ‘We’re so proud to get behind Comic Relief again this year. The charity provides vital support for those less fortunate, so we knew we had to do something to help.
‘I’d like to thank our team, and the customers who donated, for their efforts – without them we would not have raised the money we did.’
