Specsavers in Monmouth is encouraging the public to support Comic Relief on Red Nose Day with comedy waving hand glasses.
Priced at just £2, all money raised from sales of the specs will be donated to Comic Relief. The glasses come in adult and children’s sizes.
The team at Specsavers on Monnow Street will be further supporting Comic Relief by holding a charity bake sale on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 March, dressing in red to encourage donations from staff, customers and the local community.
Striking a pose
Emily Ann-Frost, store director at Specsavers in Monmouth, says: ‘The glasses are fantastic and we’ll be encouraging everyone who buys a pair to also join our giant Mexican wave on social media as well.
'Simply strike a pose with your glasses and post with the #GiveUsAWave to receive your very own wave back.
‘We’re thrilled to be supporting Comic Relief again this year and hope that we’ll see our comedy frames popping up across the town in the lead up to Red Nose Day.’
Specsavers in Monmouth has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and pledged to raise at least £250,000 for the charity.
