The team in Mold have been told to get on their bikes, as they gear up for their next charity challenge.
Inspired by Tour of Britain
Specsavers in Mold has been inspired by the arrival of The Tour of Britain to the region this summer and has decided to host a cycleton to raise funds for Nightingale House Hospice.
125 mile challenge
The cycleton will take place on Monday 8th September in the store. The team of ten has set an impressive challenge of attempting to cycle 125 miles, the distance of the second stage of the tour of Britain in just one day.
Katy Owen, store manager at Mold Specsavers, explained: ‘You can’t help but feel excited about the arrival of The Tour of Britain to the town. We’ve decided to take inspiration and celebrate the event by getting on our bike and turning our pedal power into much needed funds for Nightingale House Hospice.
Come down and cheer them on
‘It will be a team effort and I applaud everyone for getting into the spirit of the occasion and taking part. I’d urge people to come down, cheer them on and help top up the charity tin. Everyone knows that 125 miles is no mean feat so all support and donations will be very much appreciated.’
The money raised will go towards Nightingale House Hospice.
