Staff from Specsavers in Minehead raised nearly £300 by inviting their very own furry friend in-store for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Importance of eye health and donations
The store hosted a fundraising event on Friday 10 October, where they were joined by a local guide dog owner and his pooch. The owner was at hand to speak to people about the importance of eye health, with staff encouraging donations throughout the week.
The store joined hundreds across the nation who fundraised for Guide Dogs Week between Saturday 4 and Sunday 12 October to support the help which is at hand for blind and partially-sighted people.
Specsavers Minehead store director Philippa Hales said: ‘We were determined to raise as much money as possible for Guide Dogs for the Blind during our fundraising week.
'It’s important that our community came together to support such a life-changing cause.’
