Specsavers in Minehead have raised just over £40 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

The store offered free spectacle repairs to customers to raise money for the charity which saves lives at sea.

Store director Philippa Hales said: ‘We’re continuing to raise money for the RNLI so that we can support their fantastic work for people at sea.

‘We raised a total of £44.84 and want to continue encouraging as many donations as possible. Our coastal town appreciates how the charity looks out for the community and we will always do what we can to give back what we can.’
