Specsavers in Milton Keynes is proud to announce itself as the main sponsor of this year’s Milton Keynes Midnight Moo in support of Willen Hospice.
The event will invite ladies to take part in a sponsored 10-mile walk through the city of Milton Keynes, which starts at midnight on Saturday 14 July.
Raising funds for Willen Hospice
Money raised from the event will be donated to Willen Hospice, a charity providing specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment.
The Hospice also supports Primary Care Trusts in Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire.
A word from the store director
Steve Moore, store director at Specsavers Milton Keynes, said: ‘We are thrilled to be supporting the MK Midnight Moo. It is such a fun event to be involved with. We are very lucky to be able to support local events and local charities in this way.
'Willen Hospice provides exceptional care in our community and we are very proud to be able to support the event through this partnership to help them raise vital funds.’
About the MK Midnight Moo
The MK Midnight Moo is open to walkers of all levels and costs £20 to register, with those taking part encouraged to raise a minimum sponsorship of £100.
Entrants will receive a registration pack containing a vest and other goodies, which they can choose to collect from Specsavers Milton Keynes and the soon-to-be-opened Specsavers Newport Pagnell store.
Specsavers Milton Keynes is further supporting the event by including discount vouchers in the registration packs, which will enable walkers to claim 50% off designer glasses purchased from the store.
