The Milton Keynes Specsavers store are sponsoring the Midnight Moo event, which is a ladies midnight walk held in the area, which encourages walkers to dress up and raise money for the Willen Hospice.
The Willen Hospice is a charity that provides specialist care for people whose illness no longer responds to curative treatment. The Hospice not only gives specialist support to patients but also to their family members and carers
The event is taking place on Saturday 15th July 2017, which is also the year that Milton Keynes celebrates its 50th birthday. The walk involves ten miles around Milton Keynes, which will help to raise vital funds for the Hospice.
Joining forces with a local charity
Specsavers Milton Keynes Director, Steve Moore says, ‘We are thrilled to join forces with the Willen Hospice and be a part of the sponsorship for the Midnight Moo walk.’
He added, ‘Being a local charity in the area, we know first-hand the work that is done at the hospice is truly outstanding, and we plan on supporting them further throughout the year.’
Supported by a host of local businesses
The Midnight Moo was first launched in 2009 and has been held in Milton Keynes every year since. It attracts 1200 woman each year, and since the launch the participants have helped raise over £900,000 in total for the Willen Hospice.
The event is supported by a host of local businesses, including Specsavers, who provide time, assets and donations to help contribute to the success of the Moo.
