Milton Keynes local, Robin Hayes-Thompson, was delighted to graduate from Specsavers Apprenticeship scheme in March.  On hand to award his certificate was Dame Mary Perkins, Founder of Specsavers and UK Joint MD, Paul Marshall.

In good company
Robin is among 241 people currently enrolled on the UK’s biggest government-accredited scheme at Specsavers. The benefits of an apprenticeship scheme with Specsavers is that it opens up successful apprentices to further studying opportunities, with the potential to qualify as a dispensing optician within five years.

A well done from the team
Specsavers Milton Keynes have really enjoyed seeing Robin grow and become a great ambassador for the store.  Says Steve Moore, store director: ‘An apprenticeship scheme is a great way to unlock the potential of young people and provide a way for them to embark on successful and fulfilling careers.  Robin has really embraced this scheme and took advantage of the learning potential that covers many facets of running a business - customer service, learning about the products and innovations we offer, and the business management side.  We look forward to seeing him enjoy a long and successful career with us here at Milton Keynes.'
