The team members from Specsavers in March are lacing up their trainers to raise vital funds for two local charities.
On Sunday 21 September, the group from Specsavers, will be taking part in the Ouse Washes Experience in aid of the medical charity Magpas and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
The unique event, allows participants to explore a virtually unknown part of Cambridgeshire by simply walking, cycling or running using an off road track adjacent to the Old Bedford River between Welney Village. To further boost funds the stores will have a cross trainer in store with staff dressing up in their cheesiest workout gear, in preparation for this weekend’s event.
Trevor Clark, store director, said: ‘I am really pleased with the efforts of the team and the to be supporting two worthwhile causes. The support that East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices provide to the local community is invaluable and we are aiming to raise as much money as possible for the charity.’
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices fundraiser, Mark Loades says: ‘We are delighted to have the support of Specsavers stores in the Anglia region and hope that the local community support the March store’s latest fundraiser.’
