Staff at March Specsavers invited students from a local college for adults with learning disabilities to a glamorous charity cake sale to raise money for the good cause.
The team gave the store a special VIP makeover, adorning the interior with glitzy bunting and balloons and a Hollywood-style red carpet.
The optician also had a delicious array of sweet treats on offer for customers, in exchange for a donation to FACET college in Marwick Road. Founded in 2002, FACET is a charity with a focus on providing training and day care to adults with disabilities within the Fenland area.
More than 118 students attend the college over the course of the week, five of whom – Paul Larham, Lee Wright, Anya Webb, Cutis Fendley and Ben King – gave a helping hand to sell cakes and confectionery to staff and customers.
The event was a huge success and the store is planning more charity events this year to support FACET.
