Staff at Specsavers in March came to work wearing a range of weird and wonderful socks to show their support for World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March.
Thinking on your feet
The team donned the colourful footwear in honour of the #LotsOfSocks campaign, which saw people around the UK wear odd socks to raise awareness of Down’s syndrome.
Socks have been used as a symbol for the day as chromosomes look like socks, and people with Down’s syndrome are born with an extra chromosome.
Trevor Clark, store director at Specsavers March, said: ‘We’re proud to support World Down Syndrome Day at the store, and the team and customers had a lot fun seeing all the crazy socks on display.’
