The team at Specsavers Mansfield will be hosting a cake sale and book sale in a bid to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
To mark Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, the store will be hosting a cake sale on Friday 30 September, offering home baked goodies in return for donations to the charity. They will also be selling second hand books to passers-by to raise money.
‘We wanted to do something with the team that would raise money and awareness, while still having fun in-store. We will have some tasty cakes on offer and hope that everyone can make their way down to indulge in a couple of sweet treats or pick up a page-turner while raising money for a fantastic cause!’ said store director, Imogen Hoyle.
There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today and, as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to four million by 2030. Macmillan Cancer Support aims to provide support to everyone who needs it, to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.
