The team at Specsavers in Lymington was delighted to mark its 10th anniversary recently.
10 years of serving the local community
A fabulous commemorative Specsavers birthday cake was shared with customers and lots of fun was had in store on the day. A real party spirit celebrated the ongoing loyalty of customers as well as the hard-working colleagues who have been on hand to answer locals questions about their vision and style needs over the years.
Why a great opticians is imperative for every local community
Statistics show that only one in four people have their vision checked every two years, as recommended by the College of Optometrists. The challenge of getting the public to safeguard their eye health now and for their later years remains paramount - just as it did 10 years ago when Specsavers first debuted in Lymington.
Says Lymington store director, Neil Constantine-Smith
'An eye test can help detect preventable sight loss conditions including age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and cataracts with early detection. Our eyes provide a window to our wider health, helping to spot indicators of other issues, such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease that could hinder all of us.'
Specsavers in Lymington is looking forward to its next 10 years on the high street and will continue to evolve its services whilst helping to relieve the pressures placed on the NHS.
Neil concludes: 'Our anniversary was a great occasion for us, but more importantly, it was about celebrating the eye health services we provide right here on the high street for local residents. It provided a good opportunity to remind locals that we are here, going strong and will continue to bring fantastic eye health innovations to the area for many years to come.'
