The eyecare experts at Specsavers in Luton are celebrating a very special achievement, as five members of their team have completed their Dementia Friends training.
The Dementia Friends initiative is run by the Alzheimer’s Society and aims to help people better understand the needs of customers suffering from dementia.
The George Street team members completed the training and now proudly wear badges to signify their increased awareness.

Ophthalmic director of Specsavers in Luton, David Brett-Williams said: ‘The training provided to our dispensing and professional team was very comprehensive and has given them a firm understanding of how dementia can affect people in a variety of ways.
‘We always strive to offer the best service possible to our customers and now we feel more equipped to provide extra support to our customers living with dementia.’
