All about baby Florri
On Tuesday 12th May 2015 Perri White, Lincoln Specsavers dispensing optician, gave birth to her baby girl Florri eight and a half weeks early, weighing 2lbs 7oz’s. In order to support Perri and Lincoln Hospital’s Neonatal unit, Perri’s colleagues, friends and family members of the White’s, along with the local community of Lincoln will come together to raise money for premature baby’s at Lincoln Hospital.
Over 40 people attended the event where the team reached its goal of 874 miles and even cycled a further 198 miles; the spinning bike was provided by Fit4less. Lincoln Hospital’s Neonatal Unit has asked Lincoln - Morrisons Centre Specsavers to buy a digital camera and docking station so that families can have a photo of their baby close to home while separated.
Paul Hurdley store director at Specsavers in Lincoln, said: 'We are thrilled to be able to raise funds for such a well deserving unit. The Neonatal unit is so close to our hearts especially with the arrival of Perri’s premature baby girl, Florri.
'The spinathon was a roaring success and we're ovewhelmed by the support from the local community. The team did a fantastic job and we can't believe the total of funds raised.'
Florri White has now returned home with parents Perri and Rob under the guidance of Lincoln Hospital’s Homecare team.
