A local opticians in Lincoln will be offering customers a full spectacle MOT in store over the coming weeks in a bid to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
Specsavers store director Paul Hurdley explains: “As a business serving the local community we always feel it is important to make a commitment to raise money for charities.
“Cancer Research UK is an incredible charity and we are so pleased to show our support by raising such vital funds. With the help of staff and the involvement of our loyal customers we have been able to benefit such an important cause.”
The fundraising began on Saturday 18 June and will continue to run for the next three Saturdays. In return for a small donation, the Specsavers team in Lincoln Morrisons will be cleaning, tightening screws, checking glasses are straight and giving them a good once over.
Cleaning sprays will be reduced for these three Saturdays by 25% and a free small cleaning cloth will be given after every donation.
Cancer Research UK is one of the world’s leading cancer research charities. The charity focuses on research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all cancers. It also provides information to the public about cancer and cancer care as well as working with the government to inform and improve cancer services.
