Specsavers in Lewes will play their part to improve road safety in the community this winter.
During Road Safety Week (23-29 November) Specsavers will be donating high-visibility vests to all children that come in for an eye test*.
Patricia Lofting, store director at Specsavers Lewes says: ‘Now that the clocks have changed and the nights are getting darker, we want to ensure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next few months.
‘By raising awareness during Road Safety Week and by offering the children these vests, we hope that they take extra care on trips and excursions. We’re really looking forward to welcoming everyone in to store during the week.’
Brake is a national road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis, through campaigns and other funding. The charity also promotes safe and sustainable road use and effective road safety policies.
