Specsavers Lewes are urging everyone to wear their sunglasses this summer to protect their eyes against the sun.
The high street store is speaking out following #shadesforsight, an RNIB initiative designed to raise awareness on National Sunglasses Day this June.
A word from the store director
Patricia Lofting, store director in Lewes, said: ‘While we all love being out in the sunshine, the sun can really damage your eyes. That is why wearing sunglasses with the right level of UV protection is really important.
‘Damage from the sun can increase your risk of getting cataracts or suffering from age-related macular degeneration, so sunglasses could really help keep your eyes healthy. Why not check out our prescription range in store today.’
