Specsavers in Letchworth is calling on local spec wearers to donate any used and unwanted glasses to the store’s Vision Aid Overseas appeal.
The store is renewing its support for Vision Aid Overseas this year to help the charity provide important eyecare services to people in Africa.
Making a positive difference
Residents with old glasses to spare can drop them off at the collection box located at Specsavers Letchworth. These glasses are then collected and recycled, with funds raised from the reusable parts used to fund eye care projects across Africa.
A word from the store director
Amer Choudhry, store director at Specsavers Letchworth, said: ‘We had a great response to our Vision Aid Overseas appeal last year, and we’re aiming to eclipse that this year by encouraging everyone with unwanted specs to donate them at the store the next time they’re passing by.’
