Staff at Specsavers in Letchworth will be getting out their mixing bowls and baking beautiful cupcakes to raise money for the help people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

Baking for Alzheimer’s

The local opticians will be selling the treats on Thursday 14 June as part of the Alzheimer’s Society’s national Cupcake Day campaign, which has raised over £1.4 million since 2016.

Supporting great work

Director of Specsavers in Letchworth, Amer Choudhry, said: ‘Dementia affects 820,000 people in the UK directly, while 23 million people have a close friend of family member suffering from the condition and the Alzheimer’s Society do great work in supporting them.

‘If you have a sweet tooth and would like to help support this fantastic cause, please do come down to the store and buy a tasty treat.’
