Staff at a local opticians turned their hands to the baking business last week and raised over £100 for Breast Cancer Care.
Served up a treat
On Tuesday 27 May, the Specsavers team in the store on Waterbourne Walk, served up a treat for local residents, selling delicious cakes and sweet treats in exchange for donations to the charity.
Fun and tasty way to collect for charity
Ekta Kotecha, store director in Bedfordshire, says: ‘Bake sales are always such a fun (and tasty!) way to encourage people to donate to charity. We thought it was important to collect for Breast Cancer Care as breast cancer affects so many people both nationwide and close to home.
‘The whole team put in an amazing amount of effort to make sure the day went well and I’m please to say their hard work paid off.’
