The Leighton Buzzard team is hosting an in-store fundraiser this Saturday to support a local child who is suffering from a life-changing illness.
Four-year-old Freddie Grey was born in December 2011 with life-threatening complications. At 18 months old, he was diagnosed with Spastic Diaplegia Cerebral Palsy and now requires constant practical support, physiotherapy and mobility aids as a consequence.
To help play a small part in his ongoing treatment, staff at the store have decided to host a fundraising day for Freddie with customers invited to pop into the store to pick up a sweet treat baked by a member of staff, or take part in a raffle draw.
A helping hand from the community
Store director Ekta Kotecha said: ‘We hope to see as many friendly faces in store this weekend as possible to help raise funds for Freddie. We’ve already hosted a few in-store fundraisers in aid of Freddie and it would be great to see the local community getting behind us once again.’
