A group of Specsavers directors from across Essex, including optometrist director of Southend and Leigh-on-Sea stores John Staunton, will take part in a sponsored cycle ride and walk to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Support from across Essex
One team will talk 10km while a second cycles 50 miles across the countryside. The group also includes directors from Basildon, Lakeside, Brentwood, Canvey Island, Upminster, Clacton-on-Sea, Wickford and Bishops Stortford, along with regional relationship manager, Roy Thorogood.
Help us raise thousands
Dementia affects 820,000 people in the UK and around 23 million people in the UK have a close friend or family member with dementia. Many Specsavers stores have staff members who are trained ‘Dementia Friends’, dedicated to supporting their customers.
