A year of business is being celebrated at Specsavers in Ledbury, with the store reflecting on a successful 12 months of welcoming local people through the door.
The eight-strong team is led by optometrist director John Roberts who is joined by co-directors; father and son Nialle and Darren Smith.
Day to day, the store is run by Nialle’s daughter, dispensing optician Rebecca Smith, making it a real family affair. As well as eye tests, customers are also able to take advantage of free hearing tests carried out at the store one day a week.
'Enjoyed getting to know local community'
‘It’s been a really successful first year and we’ve enjoyed getting to know the local community,’ said John. ‘We pride ourselves on our first-class customer service and ensuring we deliver the very best experience to everyone that comes to see us. To help us do this, we have the very latest high-tech equipment available, including digital retinal photography.
'This takes a photo of the back of the eye to help pick up a range of conditions including glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
'Something to suit every budget'
‘Our extensive range of frames, with specs starting from just £25 and designer ranges from just £99, means there is something to suit every budget. We also have a dedicated contact lens area for those wanting to try an alternative to glasses.
'The team is also highly trained in fitting and styling, using revolutionary imaging software on tablet devices called Digital Precision Eyecare. This captures a range of essential dispensing measurements that are used to make sure the chosen frames are the perfect fit for everyone. It also selects and fits customers’ glasses based on their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs.’
